Insurance: Coverage Explanation
Property Insurance
Safeguard your physical assets from potential losses due to fire, tornadoes, theft, and a diverse range of perils. Our coverage ensures that all the contents of your office are protected on a replacement cost basis – meaning the chosen insurance limit should reflect the cost of replacement, not the market value of your contents. This comprehensive plan can also cover your tenants' betterments and improvements, providing you with peace of mind.
General Liability
Shield your business from liabilities stemming from third-party property damage or bodily injury. Whether someone is injured on your property or due to your company's actions, this coverage defends you and pays for the associated damages.
Hired & Non-Owned Auto
Protect your business from liability associated with you or your employees driving for business purposes. While this coverage doesn't replace personal insurance for individual drivers, it responds if your business is brought into a lawsuit connected with an auto accident involving an employee conducting business.
Workers' Compensation & Employer's Liability
Ensure your business is covered for employee injuries and related liabilities. Workers' Compensation covers all employee injuries and diseases occurring while they are working, while Employers' Liability goes beyond state statutes to cover additional liability.
Umbrella
Extend your coverage limits over General Liability, Hired & Non-Owned Auto Liability, and Employer's Liability with our Umbrella policy. Starting at $1,000,000, this additional layer of protection places a crucial buffer between your business assets and potential liability claims.
Employment Practices Liability
Safeguard your business against employment-related lawsuits, including allegations of wrongful termination, discrimination, or certain types of harassment. This coverage, not included in most general liability insurance, is secured separately.
Data Breach / Cyber Liability
Protect your business from liability arising from data breaches and the unintentional release of personally identifiable information. Our coverage includes regulatory defense expenses, fines and penalties, crisis management expenses, security breach remediation, notification expenses, computer program and electronic data restoration expenses, computer fraud, funds transfer fraud, e-commerce extortion, and business interruptions, among other additional expenses.
Claims example: Imagine your office experiences a devastating fire that not only destroys the building but also the contents within. This insurance is designed to help you replace all of your business contents swiftly and efficiently.
Workers' Compensation
Workers' compensation provides medical expenses, lost wages, and rehabilitation costs to employees who are injured or become ill "in the course and scope" of their job. It also pays death benefits to families of employees who are killed on the job.
Employers are required by law to pay workers' compensation benefits as established by individual state laws. Texas is the only state that does not mandate companies to purchase workers' compensation coverage.
Workers' compensation coverage helps protect your business in three ways. These include covering employee illnesses and workplace injuries, protecting your business from lawsuits, and keeping your business compliant with state regulations.
Employer's Liability Insurance
Employer's liability is the legal responsibility of an employer to pay damages to an employee who suffers a work-related injury or illness, which can often result in an expensive lawsuit. Your employer's liability insurance can help offset those legal costs, as well as any settlement.
